Fixture Recessed Non-ic 5 Inch

Housing will slip through 5-1/2" ceiling opening, integral flange secures fixture against ceiling. Can be installed below the ceiling. For installations in non-insulated ceilings or where insulation can be kept 3" from housing. Integral thermal protector deactivates fixture if an incorrect lamp is used or if ceiling insulation material is not applied correctly. Porcelain socket with nickel plated brass screw shell snaps into trim for consistent lamp positioning. Three "Quick Connect" connectors eliminate need for separate wire nuts, strip supply wires and push in. Junction box is listed for through branch circuit wiring and has seven 1/2" knockouts and four Romex knockouts. Four remodel clips secure housing and accommodate ceiling thicknessfrom 1/2" to 5/8".
